Google Killed its 9 Services in 2013

             Do you think is it needed right now??

As we all know that Google is mainly considered as one of the most famous and innovation companies in the Global for a long period of time. But do you that the company has ultimately killed off a maximum number of services those have been available on the internet in this year(2013).

Yeah, Google has removed its services in this year. The people who were used all those services for a long time bit confused about the action that has been taken by Google.

Google officially removed all those services for some valid reason such as security risks, less attraction and focus on those services by the web surfers and redundancy. Google analyzed that those services are not welcomed by the web surfers, eventually it decided to remove all those redundant services from the web. That's what happened in this year, it might affected some people but it is mandatory to accept Google's action.

Anyways, we can just have a look at those removed services:

Service i: iGoogle

      iGoogle is one of the services that permit users to have a personalized home page at the time whenever they did open the website. The web legend (Google) says that the requirement of such kind of service has minimized because of the exponential increased growth of applications that can run on Android and Chrome.

Service ii: Google Shopper Apps

Google has shut down this Shopper application for both platform Android and iOS in the month of August 213. Instead of that application, web users can u have the use of Google Search application or google .com/shopping URL via their mobile browsers to find their respective products online. 

Service iii: Google Sync

Consumer version of Google Sync has allowed web users to synchronize their Gmail, Calender and Contacts in their Gmail via Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. Even though the enterprise version of this Google Syns is still alive in the current internet,  the consumer version of this Google Sync is not available from January 2013. Google killed this service since the CardDAV which is also Google's one of the services also does the same work.

Service iv: Google Reader

In March of 2013, Google has announced that it is going to shutting down its services which was called as Google Reader which is a popular RSS feed aggregator and citing declining usage. This Service were faced a severe criticism from web users that is web surfers and they given a petition to Google against this Reader with around 1,00,000 signs. Eventually, Google has decided in their way and killed the product from the internet in July of  2013.

Service v: Latitude

This is also one of the services of Google which is a location based service. This Google latitude also had faced its termination in 2013. It was a phase of Google Maps and also permitted surfers to track and share their current and any location on the online mapping service via smart phone and mobile phones. But the termination has come in August of 2013 saying this kind of service should be integrated with social network. Finally Google has added this feature in its social network called Google+( Good Decision by the great web legend Google).

Service vi: Cloud Connect

In the month of April, Google has put an end card of its service called Cloud Connect which permitted web users to save Microsoft Office documents and  files from their computer to Google Drive. You may wonder why they removed such an useful service, because Google Drive dose the exact thing and plays not only on Windows but also on Mas, iOS and Android operating systems.

Service vii: Google Catalogs

   Google itself stopped this service due to lack of welcome and interest on the web after the deployment of this product. This product allowed users toe browse through product catalogs of different companies. But it does't met the expectation of Google even after 18 months of its deployment. Though this product has been removed by its owner, still it is being accessed through its website.

Service viii: Building Maker

This is also one of the decent tools of Google which is an online tool that is used to create 3D models for Google Maps and Earth. In the month of June this service has met its termination by its inventor. But still the Google has products that can does this same part. 

Service ix: Google voice for BlackBerry

Google voice for BlackBerry met its termination in the month of March,2013. But the Company did't give any reason for killing its product that was designed for BlackBerry users. BlackBerry users are still willing to use this product over voice.

We have had a look at all those services killed by its inventor-Google. Google has taken the correct decision, though many people want their product those have been killed. Google would have been taken all those users into consideration before removing some of its services.
