Microsoft had announced regarding an update to its latest Operating System Windows 8.1 Codenamed as Windows Blue, Windows 8.1 is more than an update and will include many changes. Microsoft is expected to place out this free update on 26th of this month. Take a look at these following 9 features.

#1 Desktop mode

 With this update, users can launch the Operating System in desktop mode, which resembles the same set up as the older versions. The Operating system’s start screen features different tiles which could be rearranged easily. Windows 8.1 now gets with more colors and backgrounds for the start screen. 
#2 The Start button is back


The start button was not presented in the Windows 8 version of the OS. But the new version is believed to contain it on the screen and when clicked, you would find the start screen popping out with the wallpapers behind it, developing the modern UI more like an overlay.

Windows 8.1 is also uses Microsoft’s Bing search technology. As in the case with the previous version, users could find the search bar from the right side of a display screen. This version features a lock-up screen that will display a slideshow of a user’s frequent pictures.

Users can now find it easier way to move applications on the start screen and change the size of each app on screen file.
One can now select multiple applications all at once, re-size them, uninstall and rearrange them. Just by swiping on a button, you can view all applications and they can also be filtered according to name, date installed, most used or by category.
